Sabrina Andrews began her career in mental health in 1993 and has amassed over 30 years of experience working in both community mental health settings and private practice. Her specialty is helping people understand and manage emotion-driven responses and the impact on their day to day functioning. Her treatment approaches include: Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Compassionate Inquiry and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Empathy is her superpower and she understands the need for people to be seen, heard, understood and accepted during times of struggle.
In addition to a thriving private counselling practice, Sabrina also provides training and consulting on a variety of mental health related topics. She believes strongly in thinking outside of the box that is our traditional mental health system and will coach clinicians towards a holistic and humanistic approach to care. She is available to work with your agency to customize professional development opportunities that will best meet the needs of your team as they deliver front-line services. A natural storyteller – Sabrina facilitates impactful workshops that will inspire growth within your organization.

Services
Supportive Counselling
Sabrina meets with individuals aged 16 and over to provide supportive counselling and mental wellness coaching. Sessions are typically 60 minutes in length and can be delivered in person at her office in London, Ontario or virtually using a PHIPA-compliant online platform.
Areas of specialty include (but are not limited to): high sensitivity traits, anxiety, depression, substance use, relationship difficulties, borderline personality disorder and suicide behaviour.
Caregiver Supports
Family caregivers are the unsung heroes in the mental health arena. Sabrina has developed a set of skills to help parents/spouses navigate their loved one’s mental health journey and is available to help you understand the behaviours you are seeing in another person.
Utilizing both professional and personal experience, Sabrina can help you develop better strategies in supporting your loved one who is struggling and yourself!
Consultation and Training
Sabrina will work with your agency or organization to customize a workshop on a wide variety of mental health related topics.
Sabrina will consult with your leadership to assess your needs and construct a training plan that fits with your learning goals. Mental health training sessions include (but are not limited to): Mental Health 101, Crisis Communication Skills, Suicide Awareness, Caregiver Support, DBT Skills Training, Self Compassion, Radical Acceptance and Boundaries.
